1. What you are playing
Toque de Bola is video game designed for iPhones and iPads. It is a digital version of the Brazilian futebol de botão.
- HOME is the team at the bottom of the screen.
- AWAY is the team at the top. AWAY piece numbers appear upside-down.
- Two players sit opposite to each other, sharing one device.
2. Setting up a match
Before kickoff
- Sign in (Apple or Google).
- From Home, start a new match.
- During the Initial setup, choose:
- Game duration (timed match; default five minutes, up to twenty).
- Pieces per player (how many pieces each team fields on the table).
- Flicks per turn (how many flicks the team in possession may take in open play; default three, up to five).
- Require ball contact. When on, if your flick does not touch the ball, your possession ends and the other team plays. When off, a miss still uses one flick but you keep possession until your flicks run out or another rule stops your turn.
- Player setup. Add team name and flag for each team; choose piece sizes and numbers in the roster.
- Tap Play. Pieces form up and the ball is placed at the centre for kickoff.
Kickoff team is chosen at random for each new match and rematch.
During the match (menu)
From the in-game menu you can open Game Controls and Restart Repositioning to change some options for that match (haptics, aiming help, goal width, repositioning rules, etc.). Changes apply from the next relevant restart unless the screen says otherwise.
